Welcome to the Section179.Org site. We invite you to participate in Petitioning Congress to Keep Section 179. The extension of the increased deduction limits under Section 179 are not guaranteed. This petition must meet a signature goal of participants by April 15th – so please help us spread the word.
By accessing Section179.Org and participating in this petition, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and consent to be bound by these Terms of Participation and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. You acknowledge and consent that Section179.Org shall hold absolute discretionary rights to edit, modify or replace the content or change the time limits or signature thresholds of this petition at any time. If you are not satisfied with the content of this petition or have any reservations against the provisions of these Terms of Participation, your only remedy and right is to stop accessing Section179.Org or discontinue the use of any services being offered on this website. Participating or signing this petition shall be completely voluntary.
You acknowledge that Section179.Org has not been designed to replace the official communication related to Section 179 or other tax reforms, and you shall retain full rights to communicate and contact the federal government and its agencies through mails, emails, calls, websites, and other channels of communication.
If you would like to sign this petition, you do not need to create or use an account, but you are required to use a valid email address when signing this petition. You may sign this petition once per valid email. Section179.Org shall have absolute discretionary powers to verify your email address for appending it to this petition. You must be 13 or older in order sign this petition, or otherwise participate in Section179.Org. Users signing this petition may do so directly on Section179.Org, or on certain third-party websites through the Section179.Org application programming interface (API).
If you do not want to sign this petition, but are willing to send this petition, messages or other forms of communication through your forum, platform, group or individual capacity, you may do so to convey your petition for restoring Section 179 limits as long as you abide by these Terms of Participation.
You acknowledge and consent that your signature and/or related communication does not contain obscene, vulgar, defamatory, threatening, or hidden messages and that if published would violate criminal law or give rise to civil liability.
You acknowledge and consent that by accessing Section179.Org and/or by signing this petition that it shall be deemed that you have given your explicit consent to receive email notifications and official response updates regarding the petition you signed. We may also send system generated emails to keep you informed about the tax implications of Section 179 and related subject matter. If you do not want to receive such emails, you shall have the right to unsubscribe. However, nothing in this Terms of Participation shall prevent us from sending emails to verify your email address.
You acknowledge and consent that Section179.Org shall hold absolute discretionary powers to decide matters related to violation of this Terms of Participation. If we believe that a petition signature has been signed in violation of our policies, we shall have a right to remove associated signature. If we find sufficient evidence that a specific IP address is using automated technologies for creating multiple petition signatures, we shall also have a right to block that IP address from accessing the Section179.Org website.
You acknowledge and consent that signing this petition does not create any implicit or explicit guarantee that the federal government will respond or accept this petition when it reaches the signature threshold. You acknowledge that legislation is the exclusive jurisdiction of Congress, and it may refuse to accept a petition, irrespective of its signature thresholds. You should acknowledge that signing this petition and/or participating within the Section179.Org platform does not create any rights, benefits, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against Section179.Org, its owners, affiliates, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person or any other related or third parties.
